CellaVision in collaboration with Swedish IBL
CellaVisions is proud to participate in the education of future morphology specialists. In May the Swedish Institute of Biomedical Laboratory Science, IBL, organizes a course in morphological classification of blood cells. Helene Johansson, Section Leader Hematological diagnosis/Morphology, Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Sweden, explains the course like this:
“The three day course has a number of disease themes such as, anemia, myeloproliferative disorders, lymphoproliferative disorders, myelodysplastic syndromes and acute leukemia. Participants will work interactively with morphological cell images collected by the CellaVision DM96 analyzer. By using the CellaVision Competency Software participants will be trained in the classification of leukocytes and how to assess the morphology of the leukocytes, erythrocytes and platelets. ”

Would you consider sponsering similar events throughout the USA for DM96 Users? I would love to participate, or to be trained to lead one of these events. I am a Hematology Supervisor at an open heart/trauma center/medial center in Florida.
We had a simular 3-days- course in Denmark last year. It was a great succes, and we are repeating it in 2011.
