Better ergonomics with digital cell morphology
The review of blood smears requires laboratory personnel to carefully study blood cells using a microscope, and then provide the information about what they see to a physician for diagnosis.
Review of blood cells by lab personnel is straining work, with many hours spent leaning over a microscope.
The CellaVision DC-1 analyzer for digital cell morphology replaces the traditional microscope.
A glass slide with a blood smear is placed in the analyzer and the system collects blood cell images to assist with disease detection. Every cell image is assessed with artificial intelligence and a suggestion on the cell type is provided.
And most importantly for the backs and necks of the people working in the lab – a comfortable working position is provided thanks to the ergonomic design.
The CellaVision DC-1 analyzer can be implemented stand-alone in a small independent lab or in the small satellite labs of a Distributed Laboratory Network. It has a loading capacity of 1 slide and the approximate throughput time is 10 slides per hour*.
